We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities.
Your Role
As a Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the rest of our team to make sure that all of the equipment in an office, building, or landscape is taken care of, to oversee our maintenance departments, and to ensure that our maintenance procedures comply with company standards.
Your Team
The Maintenance Manager will be reporting directly to the Regional Maintenance Manager and the Head of Maintenance based in our Editec offices in the UK, as well as, guiding a dedicated team of technicians on the field in our operations based in Africa.
Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously build relationships with our stakeholders including local partners and staff.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure proper implementation in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company equipment, machinery, and buildings.
- Allocate the workload of the maintenance staff and monitor equipment inventory.
- Keep maintenance logs, report on daily activities, and keep track of maintenance data.
- Order supplies, parts, and equipment from suppliers to make sure that workers have the needed resources to complete current and upcoming projects.
- Determine how to correct mechanical problems by referring to blueprints, parts catalogues and repair manuals whenever major problems arise.
- Develop relevant workshops and training for maintenance staff on a regular basis.
- Ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are complied with.
- Enforce use of company CMMS application Coswin
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Assume and perform/responsibilities as assigned.
About You
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration, facility management or a similar field will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years working experience as maintenance manager or related area.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of electrical systems
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Well-versed in all maintenance processes.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Soft Skills
- Confident in decision-making.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficiency in French.
