Africa Based - Regional Online Manager

Job Summary:
We are looking for results orientated, highly self-motivated, commercially minded people with a passion for Online Betting & Gaming, to drive the next phase of growth for the online business in each of our markets. The Online Regional Manager will be the expert and the driving force on the ground for the central teams (including Marketing, Product, Payments, Customer Service, and more), and shaping central online strategies into hugely effective local plans.
The Regional Manager will help develop, implement and drive a robust end to end strategy for online, supporting the central teams, but owning and driving plans for their market. They will be responsible for ensuring market needs are met by way of payments, operating infrastructure, process, product, promotions, etc, and deliver consistent customer experience in line with Goat Interactive requirements and plans.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the region’s online performance in terms of commercial and operational KPIs in alignment with central Operations teams.
- Drive the implementation and improve the operational framework for the delivery of a leading online gaming experience for GOAT Interactive and partners at all touch points.
- Continuously feedback data, reports, local trends, and information - including competitor analysis and competitive environment in the market - with proposals to help drive planning and support initiatives of the central online teams.
- Positively engage with internal and external stakeholders and create a network of contacts to grow the online business.
- Drive and expand the Offline Affiliates programme locally; recruit, train, manage and monitor field operations as required.
- Assist the online central teams with testing new products, campaigns, and promotions; ensuring all products and services are successfully implemented and advise on market suitability.
- Commercially minded with good knowledge of simplifying customer journey from sign up to retention.
- Implement a framework for proactively identifying local opportunities for Goat Interactive to grow online brand, operations and profitability of the market.
- Work in partnership with local Operations Manager and central Operations team in London to align online plans and identify / drive synergies between Retail and Online operations.
- Manage the relationship between Goat Interactive and key internal and external stakeholders as well as customers.
- The Online Regional Manager will support, develop, and implement a high growth, fully profitable and deeply engaging betting and gaming service to customers in their market.
- Effective budget management to ensure optimal utilisation of investments as well as maximising profitability/ minimising costs.
- Run regular customer focus groups.
- Relationship building / management with MNOs/Banks to ensure frictionless payments operations in the market as well as assisting central payments team where necessary with in market payments/integration/testing/etc.
- Manage the whole region with one strategy in mind, while taking into consideration each country’s specific criteria.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in online gaming.
- Readiness to travel to several countries in a designated region in Africa
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced online environment and delivering growth in terms of sales and profitability.
- Excellent commercial and technical understanding of online gaming industry.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; additional languages a plus, with French or Portuguese being a distinct advantage.
- Strong network of connections within the online and mobile industries in the market and/or Africa.
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree or recognised qualification in Marketing, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent Business discipline.
- At least three years’ experience in a Digital/Online environment.
- Experience in development and go-to-market of an online product/service.
- A qualification in Project Management/Planning/Strategy is an added advantage.
